Pelerine was the second rally to take place this season. I'm pleased to say it was a great success. A very pretty site, Pelerine made a great base to visit Newent, Ledbury and Ross on Wye. All lovely old towns. Saturday evening we visited the Kings Arms for a group meal out. The food was good and the evening was a very enjoyable few hours. Flag on Sunday afternoon saw us eating many more cakes than were probably good for us, followed by a game called Molkky. Not many of us had heard of it before but great fun. Everyone is now looking forward to Lychett Manor. See you there!

MINNOWS

The new rallying season got off to a great start at Minnows. Despite it only being a short while (October) since we last rallied there. EIght vans enjoyed the area despite the weather on Friday getting us off to a cold and windy start. Saturday however was beautiful with warm sunny weather. It started with Flag. An egg and bacon bap started the day, thanks to Ian and Gill our chefs. After breakfast everyone went their own ways. Some to visit National Trust properties, some meeting families and others heading off to different nearby towns. The day ended in the same way it had begun with everyone on the Rally plus visitors having a meal at the Globe Inn. Good food and good company made it a very enjoyable weekend. Many thanks to our Marshals, Ian and Gill.
SOUTH LYCHETT MANOR

Once again Lychett Manor has provided a great venue for an ECA Rally. Marshalled by Carol and Colin we all had a really enjoyable long bank holiday weekend. The rally started on the Thursday with a meal out at the Baker's Arms. The food was very good and the freshly decorated pub was a pleasure to visit. Despite the weather forecast looking dodgy we had very little rain and most members enjoyed activities such as walking, cycling and enjoying drinks in the sun. The excellent local bus services took many of us to Poole, Swanage and Wareham. The gathering round the flag was on the Saturday evening. Cheese, biscuits and nibbles were enjoyed by all and without a doubt the wine went down well too. Thirteen vans attended the rally.

This site was a real surprise to most of those who attended. It's a well laid out site with good facilities which are well looked after by a very friendly staff.
The weather on this long bank holiday rally was beautifully sunny and most people spent their time outdoors enjoying trips to Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Modbury and Aveton Gifford.
On the Thursday evening we all sat together drinking Pimms. Flag on the Saturday evening was enjoyed with plenty of cheese and wine. Every evening people joined together and enjoyed chatting about their days out. This was followed by games of Mollky. Jayne and Mike appear to be the reigning champions.
A really enjoyable rally. Certainly one to add to your list in a couple of years.
The bonus was some non members seeing us having such fun decided to join up so welcome to the club.
Well, after a drizzly start we have had another great rally @ River Dart Park, near Ashburton. The last 2 days have been glorious sunshine and we hope everyone enjoyed 'flag'. Thank you all for a cracking rally..... Especially enjoyed Tim's specialty, the caramel shots.. Hic! Safe journey home & see you all soon. xxxxx

What a great rally. The owners described this site as a Cornish Gem and it certainly was. You could walk into Meanporth a lovely beach only 30 minutes walk and into Falmouth walking in the other direction. The site was peaceful and facilities were clean.
Friday night had a spectacular storm with lightening lighting up the skies. Saturday night some of us ate together and then everyone joined us for puddings. A great time was had by all

STRATFORD RACE COURSE
Despite the mixed weather the Stratford Holiday Rally was really enjoyable. Seventeen van's attended including three lots of new members. Flag went very well, the weather stayed dry for us and a lovely spread was laid on by Pauline. To finish flag off we played games organised by Sheila and Garry. We also finished with an old favourite, 'Left, Right and Centre' Everything went very well and £50 was raised on the raffle. Other evenings were spent sitting together having a friendly drink and a chat. Stratford itself is a lovely town with lots to see and do. Many members went on a river cruise with cream teas. I hope they put the cream on first! Pauline and myself enjoyed marshaling the rally and hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves at Stratford Race Course.
